What am I learning?
Adobe Photoshop is the most popular programme for correcting and combining photos and other images. Everyone works with it, from designers to marketers, from hobbyists to professional addicts. During the training you will learn, among other things, how to navigate through the programme, how to detach images and how to merge multiple images into one design. You will also learn how to retouch images and how to save your files correctly.
The training is a constant alternation between explanation, application, understanding and doing. Naturally, there is plenty of room for asking questions. Depending on the time available, there is room for extra explanation, more examples and even more exercises.

Afterbasic Adobe Photoshop training, you can expect to have the following skills and knowledge:
- Interface Understanding: You will become familiar with Photoshop’s workspace, including the tools panel, menus, options bar and panels for layers, adjustments and history.
- Basic Tools and Techniques: You can use basic tools such as the brush, eraser, move tool and selection tools.
- Working with Layers: You will learn how to create, organise layers, adjust visibility, and how to use layer masks and layer styles.
- Image Adjustment: You can crop, transform, straighten and rotate images.
- Colour correction: You’ll be able to do basic colour adjustments such as adjusting brightness and contrast, levels and colour balance.
- Retouching: You will learn how to use the clone stamp tool and the retouch brush to apply basic retouching techniques to remove blemishes and imperfections.
- Creating Selections: You will learn how to select parts of an image with various selection tools for further editing.
- Text and Shapes: You can add and edit text and create simple shapes and lines in your documents.
- Save and Export: You become familiar with the different file formats in which you can save and export your work, such as PSD, JPEG, PNG and TIFF.
- Using Filters: You get to know how to apply different filters for both artistic effects and enhancement of your images.
It is important to keep practising with the software to further develop your skills.

To participate in this training programme, you will need your own laptop and a licence of Adobe Creative Cloud. Don’t have a licence? Then order one via this link.
The cost of an Adobe licence varies and depends on which membership you purchase. It is also possible to buy a trial version first. Please note that this version can only be used for a limited time.
First install the software (Adobe Creative Cloud and the desired programmes), check that your login details for your Adobe ID are correct and that the software works.
